Part 18 takes place over a nearly two month period of time, mostly following Sophia starting from shortly after the Barbarian Horde. Major spoilers below.

After the inaugural run of the "Exotic Reality" program, as seen in part 15, Sophia is called in to meet with Aaron who manages the resort's staff and Owen who runs the XR program. They offer her a position within the program, feeling that a particularly positive review that mentioned her could give them all cover to do so without necessarily getting into trouble with Felix. He was particularly interested because she had dance training and he was planning to make a show that would require that. Sophia moves into staff housing, "borrowed" clothes from Owen, and begins to work full time there. On days she has only rehearsal though, Aaron still schedules a short shift elsewhere to keep to her contract's requirements of daily use.
Rob has now worn his chastity belt for quite some time. He had tried at different times to escape but that would be impossible. He had also begun to fantasize about his roommate's girlfriend Carly. He had even begun fucking his own ass with a dildo as he listened to her have sex in the other room. When he finally was able to find a time to rent Sophia for the night, he had not seen her for weeks since she had joined the XR program without him knowing where she was.
The next morning, Sophia asks if Rob could do some laundry as she opens up the suitcase and grabbed her last pair of workout clothes. As she did so, she also threw a spare cock cage in Rob's general direction, which Rob put on instead of his original. That night after very long rehearsals, Sophia finds out that Owen kept her to nearly midnight, and worried about not meeting her contract requirements she quickly begins to make sexual advances and strip for Owen. It is at that moment that Rob walks in with Sophia's clothes but then quickly leaves assuming he just walked in on something. Sophia has to explain to Owen about the contract and why she was doing what she did (particularly because Owen is gay), so she was not able to chase after Rob to explain what was really happening. Rob goes home and lays out the problem to Carly, who reacted in a way that only deepened his suspicion.
The act that Sophia was in, The Siren Sisters, was massively successful. It meant that while Rob now knew where Sophia worked, she was never free to be "rented out" any more so they barely saw each other. After it had been weeks, he told Zainab about the problem, who said she'd deal with it.
Weeks later, Zainab, Andrea and Megan show up to surprise Sophia during her first time off in a while. As they are catching up, Andrea decides to fill Sophia in about her new arrangement with Megan. Just before Andrea could tell Sophia, Zainab leaves for a moment without coming up with a good excuse. The three "pounce" on her when she gets back, but back off when it's clear that Zainab wasn't finding it to be all in good fun. Rob joins them from dinner on. He expected to be able to join Sophia for the night, but she says she'd rather just have a room to herself for the first time in months. The next day Zainab tries to have a talk with Rob about how things seem to be changing, but he refuses to accept that they have to change and storms off.
A few days later, Sophia is called to a lavish room, and is disheartened when Felix comes in to join her. He says that he's been receiving a lot of attention because of her, including from Rob who had (without using his name, but leaving enough details that Sophia easily recognized it came from him) had filed a complaint with HR that she was trading sexual favors for preferential treatment and should probably go back to being rented out again. He'd also had several people offer to buy her contract, with the most recent one being "not the kind offer you get to turn down." He prepares her for her "48 hour logistical grace window," telling her that after that she will no longer be his problem.
