To the New Year!

I hope everyone is having a great holiday, and that the new year finds you well.

I just wanted to give a quick update. I've been very busy over the holiday as I'm sure many of you have been as well. I'm also much busier at work over the winter months than earlier in the year. The next story is going to be long, and I'm afraid it might be a while until I'm finished.

When I first published a story about four girls sharing a birthday party a year and a half ago, I wouldn't have guessed I'd still be going a quarter million words later. I want to thank all of you that read and enjoy it, and I look forward to giving you all more just as soon as it's ready!

The Resorts

Quite a lot of the story, particularly for Sophia and Lea, take place in Atlantic City in a series of Casinos owned by Olson Resorts. I try when possible to not pick real places, as it gives me a freedom to create them in ways that best suit my particular needs. So all three are entirely works of fiction, but I still created them with some specifics and details in mind, not all of which fit well into the stories. First, a map to start out with. This is where I envisioned the three resorts being, using a map of what exists now:

Question to all about length

So I thought I'd just try to see what people might think for future updates. I've done some very long stories, I've done some not as long ones, never any "short" ones, at least by my standard of short. I'm just wondering if people have preferences. I'm writing as fast as I'm able, that will happen no matter how long or short any individual piece is. However, as I'm sure some have noticed, that's gotten a little slower than it was in summer, my schedule has been getting more busy leaving me with unfortunately less time to write.

So I guess what I'm asking, would you prefer smaller stories with less waiting between updates, or longer ones with perhaps more downtime in between? I'll put a poll at the top, but otherwise open discussion, anyone have preferences?

A Halloween Story

So I decided to make a submission for this year's Gromets Plaza's Halloween Story special. It has nothing to do with the rest of my stories, it is just a short, stand-alone story involving some fantastical elements that would never work in the main series. I have not abandoned my series, this was just a side adventure for myself.

Part 11 is still coming along but in the mean time here's a little story some of you may enjoy. Click here to download the PDF, or click "read more" to see it directly. Happy Halloween!

Part 8 Summary

Part 8 is a very eventful story with a lot of things happening over a short weekend to the four friends out at the cabin. Spoilers below.

Meet the Characters: Part 8's Masters and Mistress

Part 8 includes the return of some old characters first introduced in part 2, but includes many new ones as well both masters and slave. This is only a list of the masters. There will be spoilers for part 8 beyond this point.

Meet the Characters: Part 8's Slaves

This story has many characters including many slaves. Below is a list of just the slaves, and it does contain spoilers for up to part 8.

Music of Part 8

So in Part 8, Megan plays several classical pieces. Classical music is something I very much enjoy and it has increasingly been a part of my writing process. So when I wrote the dessert scene in Part 8 I had very specific pieces in mind. I eluded to them using the RV numbers (after all, it's hard to find better violin-centric pieces than Vivaldi) but it would be very easy to miss for almost everyone. So here are the songs I had in mind that Megan played with the twins:

Finally, Megan also sang a song after desert finished, though I'm sure it's identity was easier to discern. None the less, here that is too:

A Little About Contracts

This was covered in part when I talked about this being set in the future, but there is more to it than what I covered earlier and it's important to understand. Especially if I did not do a good enough job explaining this in my story.

With the rise of certain technologies, labor was being automated faster than new non-automated forms of human labor could be created. It meant that the world's ability to produce goods and provide services continued to increase even as jobs decreased. So while our ability to provide for people increase, the traditional way of distributing the production eroded. Without everyone having paychecks you'd have no way to know how to distribute things to those people since they would not have money to buy them.

So many first world nations created some form of an Alternative Minimum Income. It is a small amount of money distributed to every adult citizen, allowing them to have food, shelter, and let them decide how they want to spend the rest of it. You could survive but not live well. It was paid for by taxing automated labor and the very wealthy who owned the machines. However, it created enough demand that the countries that tried it saw a net gain to their economy.

So with a job no longer being essential to survive, countries also began relaxing labor laws. They abolished minimum wage requirements and in particular saw the rise of Payment Delayed Employment. Since a wage was seen as "extra" rather than essential to survival, employers took advantage by offering to pay only at the end of the employment term. These were always outlined in a contract.

Contracts became king. With few laws remaining about terms of employment, contracts were a way for employers and employees to be locked into their agreement without the ability to alter it. This meant that if you promised to work for 6 months, you could not quit 4 months in without the contract having a way to do that. Similarly, an employer could not fire a person without the contract giving them a way. A violation by either party was a criminal act.

An international group formed called the International Contract Bureau. It was not started by any one government, but the major economies of the world all joined early giving them legitimacy. They are responsible for classifying and securely registering contracts. Most governments now only consider an employment contract binding if it is registered with them. They also have the ability to monitor for compliance and are allowed to do so as a condition of registering a contract.

All contracts have grades and levels that make up their classification. Grades, ranging from AAA to F, indicate the level of due diligence, confirmation of legitimacy and ability to arbitrate. An AAA contract requires both parties to have lawyers, the contract must be read allowed in full and a member of the ICB needs to be present along with 5 other witnesses, and either party should have access to bring the other to court over supposed violations. An F is essentially the ICB's way of saying they can't be sure this isn't just a kidnapping into slavery with no chance of ever getting out in their life. Most developed nations only accept B grade contracts and above, and most consider using grade D contracts and below to be close to human trafficking. Levels, ranging from 1-10, indicate what kind of activities are allowable under the contract as well as factoring in the length of the contract's term of service. Level 1 or 2 are basic "typical" jobs like cashier, secretary etc for a short period of time. Level 10 leaves almost no limits on what they can be told to do or how they can be treated.

The punishment for either side violating a contract is to be put into a Penal Contract indicated with the grade Z. Penal contracts are created to be roughly 2 levels higher than the level of the contract that was violated to create the penal contract. If someone breaks a level 4 contract, they are given a level 6 contract. When contract violations are discovered by the ICB, they are the ones to issue the contract and keep the profit from auctioning off that contract to a third party. Since higher level contracts are more valuable, those with high level regular contracts will be under higher than usual scrutiny as catching a high level contract violation is more profitable. In extreme cases, this also means penal contract may get up to level 11 or 12, which allows for treatment so severe that people are not capable of agreeing to it under a normal contract. That threat means that very very few high level contracts are agreed to and even fewer are willing to violate the contract.

Sexual work has only been allowed in contracts in certain areas and countries. In the US it was decided years ago that line would be that a personal contract could allow for sexual requirements but professional ones could not. The idea being that you could hire a person or two but not dozens to be used as a source of profit. The thought was that two people should be allowed to agree to whatever they want, but that large brothels would encourage human trafficking and other harmful often illegal things. In late January, around the time of the start of the series, that changed. The Supreme Court ruled that the distinction between personal and professional contracts to be an arbitrary restriction and struck it down. There are by the start of the series no restrictions with regard to sex if the parties are willing to sign up for it.

New Name, Same Great Stories

So for those who noticed, I've settled on a new name. It's not perfect but nothing is.

AI programs, how do they work?

So called "AI" programs become a prominent feature starting in Part 6.  So what are they? How do they work? It's important to understand that a bit for the story to make sense

Let's start with what AI is not. Despite the name, AI is not sentient intelligence. This is not like Data from Star Trek, it is simply a program that is able to do things beyond what was spelled out in detail in its code. So in that sense AI may be a misnomer, but there's no better term.

AI requires "seed information" and "boundaries." Seed information is the starting point, knowledge for it to use to make initial decisions and to know what other information to look up. Boundaries are what keep the machine from overloading itself with too much information and give the program criteria to make decisions with. Defining the boundaries is the most important part, define them too narrowly and they will ignore relevant information, define them too broadly and they begin to destabilize with too much information and too many possibilities. This makes them different from human minds, our minds are boundless and can define our limits as ever changing goal posts, if an AI attempted that it would destabilize in hours or days.

An example could be you want to make an AI tutoring program. If one of the boundaries is to ensure "Timmy's homework gets finished," that is a very different boundary than "Make sure Timmy finishes his homework." To a human these sound like the same basic thing, work with Timmy to finish his homework. To an AI, the first instruction does not require Timmy to do the homework, just ensure the homework gets done. So the fist instruction could end with the computer simply doing the homework for Timmy since that would be the fastest and easiest way to achieve the goal.

This is the conundrum of programming AIs, they can't alter their views for what we might consider "common sense" because you can't define what common sense is. They need definitions written in code.

What's in a name? No seriously.

When I wrote the first story, I had a very narrow vision of where I was going. Everything was going to center around Andrea and it would be nothing at all but bondage, sexiness and the general trappings of internet erotica. Andrea's friends were only really there to help create interesting and sexy scenarios for Andrea to go through. So "A Story of Andrea" made total sense as the name for the series.

But that isn't quite what's ending up being the case.

The other three characters aren't just having their own plots and personalities, they're developing them independent of Andrea. They were before I even started this blog when these were nothing but posts at Utopia Stories. But still, I had kept the name, "Story of Andrea" because I didn't think about it much.

Andrea will still continue to be one of or the most central character, but for example I am polishing Part 6 right now which she is not even in. And in my broader outline there will be other stories that will include one or more of her friends, but not her. There will be multiple stories in the Story of Andrea series without an Andrea.

So in the coming days I'm looking for a replacement name to call this series. This shouldn't change the stories, only the header at the top. Currently I lean to "The NESIC Slaves" but I am not quite over the moon about that name either. So if anyone has any opinions let me know in the comments section.

And by the weekend you should have the next installment of.. whatever we're going to call this thing, predominantly featuring Lea this time.

The Shed behind Lea's Cabin

So in part 5 you first learn what that dilapidated looking structure behind Lea's house is. Here's a rough diagram to help you imagine it in case the description wasn't good enough.

Each stall had a hinged door (the thinner, darker colored lines). All the light brown boarder only has the walls go up to elbow level, beyond that it is just wooden coulombs. The "gear room" is slightly higher than the rest of the floor, it is also insulated and fully sealed to protect what's inside.

About Parts and Summaries...

You might notice everything is labeled in "parts" right now. Just to clarify, each part is still itself a full and complete story. I did not want to use the term "chapters" because I try to end each part with an "ending" which chapters in a book don't always have. Though I hesitate to call each a "story" by itself because they do all come together into a larger story.

The best example is to view each "part" like episodes in a TV show rather than chapters in a book. Each part has its own story, it's own structure, it's own ending, but it is also part of a larger, multi-part story and often relies on thing that happened in earlier parts. That is why I have added summaries.

If the "parts" are episodes of a TV show, think of summaries like a "previously on" sequence most shows give you. The summaries will not tell you everything that happens, they leave out most of the sexier details, but it should include all the details that may come up in future stories. So if you are reading part 4, reading summaries 1-3 should tell you everything you need to know to understand what is happening.

Like Part 1 this 95% the same as the original version I posted at UtopiaStories. I cleaned up some errors and added or altered some of the descriptions. The only change that might be called "major" was adding a paragraph description about what Lea did over the weekend. Much of it gets deduced in later stories anyway but I had many people ask me to add that in. To sum it up in a sentence: she talked to people and made some contacts but much of the weekend was for members only so she spent a lot of it with her brother.

Part 2 Summary

Part 2 is somewhat long, but it is long in part because it introduces a few things important to later stories. So here's everything you need to know about the story, with links to more detail if you wish. Spoilers below.

So About the Tech in Part 2

Part 2 introduces a lot of technology that become foundational (or at least repeated) for future stories so I'll summarize it in some detail here.

NESIC - Standing for Neuro-Electric Signal Inducer Chip, manufactured by Synsermo. It connects with a nerve and sends an electrical signal which travels along the nerve to the brain. Based on Responsive Artificial Limbs which also send and receive electrical signals from nerve endings, but it has been shrunk down considerably and doing a new function rather than replacing an existing limb. These chips can send data signals to either convince the brain it is being sexually aroused or, if already aroused, it can send a signal to orgasm. They do not have batteries, they receive the power by inducing an electrical charge from a wireless power transmission signal similar to the kind of wireless power transmissions used for most electronics.

Slave Suit - The slave suits are the foundation of a whole system of interlocking and interchangeable pieces originally developed by the company Alternative Dynamics. The basic suites consist of several collars and cuffs, printed with an interior dimension specifically for the user while maintaining a uniform exterior dimension to allow maximum comparability. These collars and cuffs are hinged and lock closed by screwing in a locking pin with an allen key printed specifically for any given suit, meaning the keys can not be used interchangeably and replacements can not be easily obtained. These include specifically a collar, two wrist cuffs, two elbow cuffs, one waistbelt, two thigh cuffs, and two ankle cuffs. Everything but the waistband has d-rings protruding from them at standard sizes. The waistbelt doesn't have d-rings but instead is thicker and has slots where d-rings can be inserted. There are standard clips that take advantage of the standardized size of the d-rings, having bars and chains end with a small sleeve designed to fit over a d-ring. Once placed in a sleeve of any kind, a d-ring can only be removed when the suit sends a digital signal allowing the unlock button to work, otherwise they can not be removed.

The suits also come with a metal bra and chastity plate. The bra has two half-globes that come in a few standard sizes while the interior size is customized to the wearer's breast size and attaches with chains in a similar pattern to a normal bra, all connecting to a single box at the back. The chastity plate attaches to the waistbelt and has a low-friction small buttplug. The buttplug can expand in size and open, allowing for it to be used as a way to deliver enemas without the need to take the plate off allowing for much easier extended wear.

Slave Chow - A food designed at first as a novelty but has developed a rather large following as an efficient and humiliating way to deliver food. They come in plastic tubs similar to what tofu comes in, and have the texture of jello with things at about the consistency of soggy bread mixed in with it. They come in a range of flavors from the mildly tasty ones; like apple, cherry or vanilla; to nastier flavors like cum, garbage or dirty feet; to their original flavor which is about as scientifically close to no taste as one can get. It also comes in "punishment" variety, which only uses the nasty flavors. The punishment slave chow contains a chemical additive that tricks the body's nervous system, making the person feel like they are in pain when there is actually no change to the body. The punishment slave chow comes in a black plastic case so as not to be confused with the regular slave chow which comes in a white one.

Meet the Characters: Part 2 Side Characters

Part 2 is filled with many new characters important to that story, but none so important they can't all share a single post.

Paul Gibson- A 40 something man with thinning brown hair and a bit of a gut, though with a very large penis. He runs a business managing container ships involved in international trade. He is also involved in some of the FetFairs, running logistics in moving exhibits from location to location and in some cases helping organize the traditional "Slave Auctions." He also gets a perverse thrill by occasionally getting novices to sign up even if he doesn't think they would be up to it, both for the power trip and because any actress who quit part way through the weekend forfeit their salary which he gets a healthy share of.

Tom Harris- Paul's business partner. He is taller, better looking and with a full head of auburn hair all in contrast to Paul. He is actually a two years older, but a combination of taking better care and genetic luck makes him look easily 5-10 years younger than his partner.

Dr. Sai Verma - A co-founder of a bio-tech company Synsermo, the maker of NESICs. He is a short man of Indian decent who also happens to be moderately interested in BDSM, something his other co-founder is not. It is why he saw the potential for the NESIC his company was working on as a product that could be used in a BDSM setting. He is in a long term D/s relationship with a woman he eventually hired as a lab assistant. She is much taller and wears a black ribbon choker around her neck as a substitute for a more serious (and therefore not professionally acceptable) collar. He has kept NESICs a secret outside of FetFairs as it continues to go through trials knowing the confidentiality agreements would protect his company from a larger firm finding his research and beating him to market. He has only one final hurdle, test subjects who are exactly 18 so they can complete the "adolescent" age bracket for government oversight while still being old enough to legally use adult products.

Andrea's Master and Mistress - A married couple deeply in love, they never give Andrea their name but their names are Jacob and Mia Schultz. They are 33 and 37 respectively. While they switch with each other while alone, they both much prefer being a dominant so they like having a third party who they can both be dominant to (so long as they both agree) without seeing it as cheating or cause for jealousy. When they find out Andrea was tricked by Paul and Tom they feel genuine concern and pity, offering Andrea a clean out rather than continuing to have her coerced into things she doesn't want to do just for the money.

Erica aka "Red Slave" - For almost the whole of the story she is known only as Red Slave. She was auctioned to the same couple Andrea was. She is 2 inches shouter than Andrea punting her at a tiny 5'2" and is simply more petite than Andrea in everything but cup size. She has pale skin, green eyes and flame red hair. She has been going to FetFairs whenever they're anywhere close for almost a full year. She enjoys being a slave but only loves the idea as a temporary escape rather than a permanent station. She also does it for the money. She knows she got lucky enough that with work she can be just shy of a model. She knows those looks can't last forever but that right now they are possibly her strongest asset, especially as she never got past a second semester of college and has no other real marketable skill.

For the most part, this is 95% the same story as posted in Utopiastories. There were a few errors I corrected, a few things that are inconsistent with future stories I changed, and there were a few minor descriptions I added or changed. The only major "plot" change is that in the update Lea had admitted to being a lesbian long before the party so that is not "new" to them.

This is also the rough format I was planning on publishing on here with, so if you have any comments about how that might be improved let me know. I will also have a single "consolidated" file from Part 2 on that will include all  previous parts in a single file.

Meet the Characters: Andrea Carter

Birthdate: January 18, 2017
Hair: Brown wavy, shoulder length
Eyes: Blue
Skin: White
Height: 5’4” (163 cm)
Weight: 128 lbs (58 kg)
Measurements: 34B-27-36

Born in Canton, OH. She is an only child and moved to Tullburg when she was 9. While at first she only had Sophia, Megan and Lea as good friends, she eventually gained more. None as close, but she still considered many of her classmates friends. She has dated some, though not very much. She gets good grades somewhere in the B+/A- range. Her parents, Dan and Elizabeth, both work and are both (though especially her mom)  much more religious than she is which is why they send Andrea to St. Anne’s. They are not on great terms but not much worse than most teenagers are with their parents. She enjoys binge watching guilty pleasure TV shows, the cornier the better. She works for her school’s yearbook committee. She has applied to colleges basically anywhere but near Tullburg in their various journalism programs. She is kind but usually quiet, she is very good at going with the flow, and she loves simply laying around with nothing important to do.

Meet the Characters: Lea Simmons

Birthdate: October 27, 2016
Hair: Jet black, straight, down to shoulder blade
Eyes: Brown, nearsighted, black rimmed glasses
Skin: Pale white
Height: 5’7” (170 cm)
Weight: 130 lbs (59 kg)
Measurements: 35B-26-34

Born in Hagerstown, MD she moved a few times as a kid before arriving in Tullburg when she was 10. She has one much older brother, David, who lives in Philadelphia. She’s on good terms with him but they rarely see each other. She is a lesbian, but has not been very public about it, only telling a few people: Andrea, Sophia, Megan, and David. Her dad divorced her mom when she was 9 after her mom had an affair, but the two reconciled and remarried a six years later. The whole thing has made her rather distant and uncomfortable around her parents. It’s a distance that’s made stronger by the occasional passing insult they make about “those fags.” She was often picked on growing up, and often shut herself in on her computer for most of the day, day after day. Her parents said if she was going to do that she should be learning something too, so she began to learn coding when she was young. She may have been mostly self-taught through free online courses, but with so many hours practicing she quickly became quite good. When she was 17 she got a part time job at a tech firm based out of Philadelphia. She applied to computer science and computer engineering programs anywhere but the local college. She is not very social, very guarded but also very generous with those she calls her friends.

Meet the Characters: Megan Caldwell

Birthdate: July 8, 2016
Hair: Brown wavy, long, usually worn up
Eyes: Blue
Skin: White
Height: 5’4” (163 cm)
Weight: 126 lbs (57 kg)
Measurements: 36B-27-38

Born in Harrisburg, PA and is the middle of five siblings who are (from oldest to youngest) Malcolm, Alison, Caroline, and Owen. Her parents, Thomas and Heather, both work at the local college where Robert is the college president which is the reason they moved to Tullburg when Megan was 10. They both have high expectations of their children, which their children rarely fail to meet. Megan is a straight A student even with a heavy load of AP classes, she has played the Violin since she was 6 and she sings in the school choir. She has been applying to top schools, but not with any real idea of what she wants to study, it’s simply what’s expected she do. She is on friendly terms with a lot of people, but there are few she would consider a close friend beyond Lea, Andrea and Sophia. At home, she still shares a bedroom with her fourteen-year-old sister Caroline; with her 12 year old brother Owen getting the other room. The family is somewhat religious but send their children to St. Anne’s more for the academics than the religion. She is smart, driven, kind, but more than a little tightly wound most of the time.

Meet the Characters: Sophia Ladas

Birthdate: December 2, 2016
Hair: Black curly hair, shoulder length
Eyes: Hazel
Skin: Olive
Height: 5’10” (178 cm)
Weight: 131 lbs (59 kg)
Measurements: 34A-25-34

Born in Syracuse, NY she moved to Tullburg when she was 9 after her father, Alexander, remarried. Her mother died when she was too young to remember, and her stepmother, Kara, was from Tullburg which is why they moved. She has a 6 year old half-sister named Tara. She began taking dance lessons when she was 5 and has become quite talented. She is on the school’s track and field team, not the star but not their worst. She has been applying to schools with dance programs, she would love to dance professionally but understands it’s important to have a backup. She’s perhaps the closest of the four to “popular,” though that is more to do with her outgoing nature and her number of friends than how “cool” she actually is. She's very assertive and vocal, a little bit stubborn, and usually very confident.

Lea's Cabin

So I have drawn up a rough layout of the two floors of Lea's cabin (as of Story 4) so it can be a little more clear in your mind. Some of this is not mentioned in Story 3.

So it's the future or something?

The whole series takes place slightly in the future, for the sake of the story I picked roughly 2035. It means technology is better and means some other things are different too.

Electronics have advanced considerably. Artificial intelligence is now possible, meaning computer programs can "learn" beyond the information they were programmed with originally. Truth detection has also been developed, by analyzing voice and a few other sensors a computer can tell not only if someone is lying but if they aren't telling the whole truth. Wireless power transmission also allows batteries or other electronics to draw power from transmitted signals similar to today's wireless induction chargers but at higher capacity and longer range. We've made all kinds of new materials including Near-Frictionless Coating which can be applied to almost anything and leave a semi-reflective gel look that has almost no friction at all making it feel like it's perpetually coated in lubricant.

Additionally, Self Driving Cars have become standard for all new vehicles. There are still driver cars on the road, but increasingly few. It has also created a trend of buying cars more for the interior space than anything else, leading to the rise in popularity of self-driving vans with custom interiors.

Production has switched largely to Made At Order production using 3D printers and other machines to create whatever is needed only when it is actually ordered. It has also meant that production is often customization, designed to fit the exact desires or body shape of the person placing the order. This has been part of a general trend of Automatized Labor where machines and programs began to supplant semi-repetitive jobs.

This lead to some major economic and social changes, and while they haven't come up much yet they will later.

With a combination of MAO production and artificial intelligence, automation of human labor has been happening faster than new uses for that labor can be found. It has meant wages world wide have collapsed, as have most employee protections. Wealthy countries began adopting some kind of Universal Minimum Income to ensure that spending continued to keep demand for goods and services high, that people don't starve, and that it would decrease the number of people chasing the increasingly limited number of jobs.

Since wages were no longer required to survive, a practice of Payment Delayed Employment started. It meant that someone would agree to a term of employment but would potentially only receive payment at the end of the term; though some contracts include small payment at the beginning or throughout. Law enforcement made sure contracts had to be very strictly followed, both for the employer and employee. The employer could not require things not agreed to, and the employee was not free to quit unless there was a way to do so. It was controversial but led to a fast increase in jobs as businesses found it much more affordable to hire if they knew they would get months or even years of service before needing to pay.

Most countries have also decriminalized prostitution, both from a change in moral thinking and from the desire to legalize any kind of work possible. Until recently sex work could not be Payment Delayed Employment, but by the time of our stories that ban is being unraveled as an arbitrary and therefor illegal limit.

So where is all this taking place anyway?

Tullburg, PA is the fictitious town where all the main characters are from. It is also home to the St. Anne Academy, a moderately prestigious private all girls catholic school where all the main characters go.

The town is about halfway between Harrisburg and Hollidaysburg, far from any of the highways and surrounded by hills with a mix of farms and forest. It was a junction between two rail lines, but after one line was abandoned after a few mines went dry the town was no longer used as a waystation. It has a small state technical college but is otherwise an unremarkable small town with no remaining major industry.

In part two there is a converted factory where most of the story takes place, just north of Philadelphia. The entire area was largely abandoned as industry left, the owner of this particular factory tried converting it from industrial to more broad public use. It plays host to the occasional convention, conference or club night while most of the rest of the neighborhood sits abandoned which makes it a very appealing option for groups who prefer anonymity.

Starting in part three and later stories you head up to a secluded cabin located just outside Sproul State Forest. The nearest town is 15 miles away, it's several miles outside of the nearest game land where hunters might wander and over a mile from the nearest neighboring house. It is at the bottom of a small hill, and actually extends several acres with a small walking path around the mostly forested property.

There are more locations mentioned later, but I'll save those for then.

First Post

So in more detail, really, why should bother with this? I mean I'm still posting at Utopia Stories, so why do this extra?

Well when I started writing I had an idea for a multi-part story, simple enough. And if it had stuck to the original size of four stories there would be no need for any of this. But after writing the second part and before I started the third my plans changed and this became a whole lot bigger. Big enough in my opinion to have a central place to put everything that has a faster and easier update time than Utopia Stories does. Somewhere I could post additional information, summaries, things that I feel might be of use to somebody but couldn't be posted at Utopia Stories. It also means that when a new part is ready for the public, it will be posted here that instant while Utopia Stories tends to have a several week wait.

Am I taking this too seriously? That's very likely, but hopefully that will be fine.
