New distraction

So it's been about a month and I just wanted to give a quick update. Unfortunately I've been going a little slow but I am still going! Just slower. Kind of found a new addicting thing and it's been slowing me down. I got Crusader Kings II during the recent Steam Summer Sale after heavy recommendations. I'm now 165 hours deep, It's been making the writing go slower. Sorry, still just human and all that.

I'm hoping the next part will be done next week or so.

  1. That's actually really funny to hear haha. We have patience don't worry! It's worth going slow for quality writing.

    1. The thing with Crusader Kings is that there are just so many expansions, I took a bet and bought them all and even though it was 85% off it still ended up being a decent amount of money. Literally no regrets though.

  3. Don't say FF7 they are making a remake of it and I'm scared they will ruin one of my favorite classic games.

    2. True still bugs me since the last few games they made the stories either made no sense at all or very hard to follow. I just wanted updated graphics and maybe a new boss fight or two like they did with 10 10-2 but this will be a full blown remake

  4. Yeah, Paradox know their game (get it? GET IT? Alright, I'll calm down now...). I got EU4 with a few DLCs on a previous sale and no regrets either. Hundreds of hours of entertainment from it. Can't ask for a better deal. The only game with more hours logged on my PC is Fallout 3 (heavily modded, of course). How many could those be, I'd rather not say...

    1. I got EU4 in the same sale but haven't tried it yet. The tutorial I watched for CK2 kept making references to how x is different than in EU4 and just about every one I just thought "Oh.. that sounds like a step back for EU4." The fact that you play as a person, one you saw from birth through education and up until death, it makes it personal, makes you connect. It's so engrossing.

I'm not sure it will crack my other most played games for a long time. I have about 800 hours on Sim City 4 (which doesn't even count from before I got it on steam because the disk broke and I got a new computer) and a number on Civ V I'm not sure I want to even admit to. But I don't think it'll break it for a long, long time.

    2. EU is much less personal than CK. It focuses much more on nations and empire building. And regarding strategy, I prefer grand conquest over personal achievements. Still, I always thought CK was a very original take on the genre.

And I never got into the Civilization band wagon. Not sure why, I mean the game has all it needs to be a great game, and I should like it, but I never saw the appeal. I'll just stick to my old Sid Meyer's Alpha Centauri.

Hmm...I think my age is showing. I hope people don't notice it hanging out like that.
