Part 20 Summary

Part 20 follows Lea for a few days after finishing her contract with the casino. Spoilers below.

Lea is furious and pushes her way in to see Felix to demand to know why Sophia wasn't on the list of contracts she was given to choose from. Felix informs her it's because he no longer has Sophia's contract. Lea is heartbroken, and decided to pick Kiara's (Rora's) contract since it was either her or pick a total stranger.

Lea asked Kiara to go find them somewhere to stay using Lea's money and not to try to contact her friends just yet. When Kiara logged in to Lea's accounts to see how much she had to work with she found that while Lea was away her shares in Synsermo had made Lea very wealthy. Kiara then returned with a camper RV. Lea went into the back to lay down and didn't come out for a day. By the second day, Kiara decided to at least get them traveling.

Slowly, Kiara tried getting closer to Lea. When Lea told her to back off, Kiara became aggressive, binding Lea's hands behind her back with a scarf. Lea was surprised, but did not put up much resistance. Kiara pulled them off the highway to a strip-mall and bought more serious and all metal restraints. She began to treat Lea like a slave, and Lea found herself unable to stop her. After the second day, when the RV pulled off near a park, Kiara left Lea bound to the bed. It was then that Lea started to put the pieces together and it looked rather convincingly that Kiara was doing this to steal her identity and with it her money. When she yelled in panic though, Kiara came in soon after. When Lea confronted Kiara, Kiara quickly untied Lea and explained that this had only been a plot to help with Lea's obvious problems of depression, not an attempt to steal anything. After getting dressed again, Lea heard a sound at the door. Kiara opened it up to show the reason for the trip. They had traveled back to pick up Kiara's Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Lucky.
