Do adults still get sick notes?

OK, so I know I said I'd have an update by end of year. But I also forgot to factor in that my immune system really hates the Christmas holidays. Between the travel, the cold, the sleeping not in my apartment, I have about a 1 in 3 chance of getting sick every year around this time. Why can't Christmas be in May?

This is my long winded way of saying I'm sick and will be a little slower because I have been dizzy and sleepy for the majority of the last almost week's waking hours. I'm getting better and thought maybe I could still make it, but I didn't.

It is coming along, it's also getting a little more detail than I was thinking originally I'd put in but if I don't put it in here it may never make it into anywhere. 11k words so far and I'm still on the first "branch." So..

The good thing about me being such a flake the last year and a bit is that at least you know how to wait a little longer!

Happy New Year everyone, and buckle up cause 2019 is coming and things are going to get worse before they get better.

  5. Hi Jess!
Don't worry about taking your time - we're more than patient, and quality work takes time.

It saddens me to know that we won't get a direct continuation at the moment - I was really excited to see what happened to our ill-fated heroines next!

That being said, I'm excited to hear about your larger story arc, and find out about it's huge culmination and how you plan to tie all of these loose threads together, so your "Plan B" definitely has my attention. Like you say you might pick up on them in the future (I understand that MIGHT is the operative word here) and I certainly hope you do. I've already signed up to your email feed to make sure I'm the first to know.

I'm curious, after your Plan B post, what's to happen to this blog? I certainly hope you post more of your one-shots and short stories in the interim, your writing is brilliant no matter the subject (then again, you could post about anything on here and I'd read it. Go on, what did you have for lunch?)

I've also noticed that you have Reddit and DeviantART accounts (and Literotica and UtopiaStories, but I don't follow those sites quite so much). Any plans to return to those? I'd love to see you integrated into our little kink communities on there, even if just the social ones.

Regardless of what you do next, I certainly hope you don't just fall off the radar entirely. (Although perhaps this is what you want?) and I patiently (although excitedly) await your next move.

    1. I'm not sure what I'm going to be doing in the future.

I don't know if I'm going to drop off the radar.

But I've kinda dropped pretty far. More than a year now since I've posted my last story and so my plan B was meant to be a way to not let it languish completely.

I've been writting like I haven't been in a while, skipping over most of the details seems to be speeding up my total words output because I don't get bogged down. But I'm also sharing a lot more detail than I had originally planned (thus the overshooting deadline) because it's the level of detail I want to put down.

But one of the big considerations I am not sure I've mentioned, but having these unfinished stories staring me down might be hampering my writing overall. I have ideas for other one-offs or what not I might want to write, but any time I dedicate to writing I've been saying I should be focusing on this series. So maybe if I have this series "finished" (as much as it can be at least) I might find more time to work on other ideas as they come up. Right now I just have a big document of bullet point ideas for future stories, it's on to the second page.

Though I obviously can't promise anything, but if I do write more I'll post here at a minimum, probably elsewhere as well.

    2. I can understand on "the bogged down the details" part. I just recently had to cut some dialogue, because it felt like the chapter that I am currently writing was running a bit long. I do know that I have a quite a few (might be a slight understatement) unfinished stories myself, especially the last one. I had a character that was loosely based on the real life person, and when this person died, I was eighteen pages in. I had a hard time finding that creativity or that inspiration. So, for now, that one is shelved.

Just as a suggestion, for the one offs, I would write a slight summary of what it is about so,you can return to when this series is finished. Also, remember, you are in the control of this tale, the ultimate master of these characters' fates, and thus, if you have to, nix any detail that seems too much or unnecessary (of course, already know this, much apologies if I upset you).

You're a good writer, and you are much braver than I am with this blog: home to the Bound Friends series and whatever crazy tale you can imagine. Have a good weekend.

  6. (Looks up at previous comment that was written and sighs) For starters, it was the late Stan Lee that I was talking about. I will stand by some of things that I mentioned like unfinished stories, difficulty of that finding creativity, the part about being bogged down, and definitely the good weekend (more likely to evolve into a great week/month+). Good might be an understatement since I like others here have been engrossed by the world that you have built. With being said, do not stop writing. I also stand by what I said about you being braver than me, and I'll admit that you might have inspired me a bit (which explains why I want one of my characters to write fan fiction about this world).

With that being said, just three things. One, can you delete my previous comment (the one that I replied to)? Two, I am a little curious what Ravi (needs a character profile btw) has planned from the party and the girls. Lastly, I hope they try to understand what Lea tried to do for Sophia especially Andrea and Zainab.
